The Story Behind The Blog...
When I first found out I was going to be a father, my mind started racing; I'm sure a lot of you had the same reaction. I did my best to stay calm and not stress too much, but of course there is always something to stress about. I thought recording my thoughts might help me keep them organized. Even if they are a mess on paper (or the internet), I figure that's better than being a mess in my head! So, I thought I'd give this whole blogging fad a try.

My hope is that this website will give us men a sense of community and relief, knowing that you’re not alone in the fascinating journey of becoming a father. My blog is not meant to be political, advisory, or persuasive in any way. It is simply one new dad sharing his experiences and opinions through the process. As you read the blog, I hope that you might find some inspiration or a new outlook on your own journey.

This blog is also not meant to be overly religious. However, as a lifelong Christian continuing to grow in my faith, I believe that God does everything for a reason. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities and challenges that God gives me, and I thank Him every day for blessing me with the chance to start a family. Some of my posts will likely contain some mention of my faith, or maybe a Bible verse that relates to whatever I'm posting about. I know it's not for everyone, but I hope you continue reading and getting something out of this interaction.

The main reason I created this platform is because it seems like there isn’t much out there specifically for new dads. There are a ton of new mom or general parenting blogs, and that’s great. But I wanted to put something out there geared towards the fathers, and I hope that this blog and this brand reaches its intended audience.

Through all the ups and downs, laughter and tears, fun and confusion of becoming a First-Time Father, just remember, we’re all in this together. And if you can take away one thing from visiting my site, let it be this...
As long as you're trying, you're doing a great job.
